Last Minute Disney Gift Idea!

Looking for a last minute gift idea for the Disney fan in your life?  Maybe you have a friend who is heading to Walt Disney World for a family reunion.  Maybe you’re surprising your kids with a trip to Disneyland.  Maybe your son’s teacher likes to shop at the Disney Store. What better gift than a Disney Gift Card…and better yet, why not personalize it?

Just announced on the Disney Parks Blog, guests now have more template options for personalizing Disney gift cards.  What a fantastic way to give a gift of convenience while adding a personal touch!  With several fun borders to choose from, each member of the family can have their own personal card.  Since the gift card can be used like cash at the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts, what a fantastic way to give a child their own spending money!

The new templates include: Celebrate, Holiday, Mickey Mouse, and Minnie Mouse.  These templates and more are currently offered online.

In order to receive gift cards by December 25th, the last day to order online is Monday December 17.

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There!

After an unexpected hiatus, I return to cyberspace to continue journaling. However, I have decided to make a few changes that will be taking place in the coming weeks. One of which will be a blog name change. I may even put some suggestions out to you, the reader just for some additional feedback.
In the meantime, I will be getting back into the swing of things and continue posting various Disney related items…including a look back at the 2011 D23 Expo.

Stay tuned!!!!

When Will it End?

When will these senseless acts of violence end?

Today, there was a shooting at a Sikh Temple in Wisconsin. People who were gathering for their Sunday service were innocently shot and killed for no reason. I may not practice this particular religion, but it is such a tragedy for all religions.

As an outsider, I do not know much about the Sikh religion, but I have learned that they are a deeply peaceful people who are often mistaken as Muslim due to the turbans worn on the head and long beards. They are from India, and are NOT Muslim nor Hindu.

I wish to send out my thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of those affected by this senseless tragedy.

Knowing that my husband and I were attending our own church service just a couple of hours before this horrific event happened, and not terribly far away from where the violence took place, sends chills down my spine.  The thought of such a crime happening while worshipping in church makes me sick.

I have no words to describe the sadness I feel for the state of this country…let alone the world.  No matter what your religion, please say a prayer for these victims and our world.
